If not specified the default value of `/dev/log` will be used. - "_Network Socket_": connects to the `syslog` service using a network socket. The `Socket` field has to have the address in the format: `hostname:port`. For example, `syslog.example.com:514`. This would be used to connect to a `syslog` service running on `syslog.example.com` and listening on port `514` using a network socket.
